AMOZ was father of prophet lsaiah, mentioned in lsaiah 1:1 and 1:2, and all in II kings 19:2, 20:1. Nothing else is known for certain about him.
There is a Talmudic tradition that when the name of of a prophet’s father is given, the father was also a prophet, so that AMOZ would have been a prophet like his son. Though it is mentioned frequently as the patronymic title of lsaiah, the name AMOZ appears nowhere else in the Bible. The rabbis of the talmud declared, based upon a rabbinic tradition, that AMOZ was the father of Amaziah, the king of Judah at that time(and, as a result, that lsaiah himself was a member of the royal family). According to one tradition, AMOZ is the “Man of God” in 2 Chronicles 25:7-9, who cautioned Amaziah to release the lsraelite mercenaries that he had hired.
Principle of the Assay:
This assay is based on the competitive enzyme immunoassay for the detection of AMOZ in the same. The coupling antigens are pre-coated on the micro-well stripes. The AMOZ in the sample and the coupleing antigens pre-coated on the micro-well stripes compete the anti-AMOZ antibodies. After the addition of the enzyme conjugate, the TMB substrate is added for coloration. The optical density (OD) value of the sample has a negative correlation with the AMOZ in it. This value is compared to the standard curve and the AMOZ concentration is subsequently obtained.
The sability of Elisa kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test. Keep the kit at 37 degree, for 4 and 7 days, and compare O.D. values of the kit kept at 37 degree with that of at recommended temperature.(refering from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation. For Elisa kit, 4 days storage at 37 degree can be considered as 6 months at 2-8 degree, which means 7 days at 37 degree equaling 12 months at 2-8 degree)
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
